The world of scientific research on Dementia can be arcane, academic and generally inaccessible to the general public. Yet people with lived experience and care partners are hungry for recent, accurate and reliable information on Dementia and its various strains.

As a grass-roots organization DAC/MDC does not have access to a research department, but we do have qualified scientifically-trained  volunteers who are willing to identify pertinent studies and demystify them for our core audience. On a periodic basis, DAC/MDC  will thus highlight recent research on various aspects of Dementia with a focus on definition, main findings and potential or promising therapies. These commentaries are not meant to replace original, peer-reviewed studies but to render them more understandable by a non-scientific public.

The first such review, produced by Dr.Bernard Prigent, focuses on Frontaltemporal Dementia. We sincerely thank him for his contribution.
